Introducing UPOL Acid #8 1K Acid Etch Primer Aerosol 450ml

UPOL Acid #8 1K promotes paint adhesion to difficult substrates such as galvanised steel and aluminium. Ideal for rub through areas in primer before application of colour.

Key Features:

• Fast drying
• Can be directly over-coated for a smooth finish
• Excellent anti-corrosive properties
• Substrates: Bare steel /Aluminium /Galvanised and Zinc coated steels /Fully cured paint/ Polyester body fillers and G.R.P.

Application:

• Tools required: SYSTEM 20TM Degreaser / MAXIMUM Abrasives
• Firstly, degrease with Pre-cleaner or panel prep and allow to dry
• Following this, abrade with 180-240 abrasive
• Re-clean, dry and degrease
• Shake the aerosol can for at least 2 minutes before use.
• 1 – 2 coats at a distance of approx. 25 cm from the surface.
• ACID#8 may be overpainted with most water-based or solvent- based basecoats or solid colours. Under normal circumstances it is not necessary to flat ACID #8 and can be directly overcoated. ACID #8 may be over-coated directly with top coat.
• Use primer filler before applying top coat if the repair requires additional build
